The box art for this figure really pops with all kinds of bright and vivid colors and in the spirit of Sakaar. This Thor figure was released mere weeks after the release of Thor: Ragnarok though, so it was really cool to see that awesome film and then be able to showcase my appreciation for it in such a short time! ItвЂ™s then a waiting game that typically spans two-years or more before the figure is in the customerвЂ™s hands (in the United States anyway).

Traditionally, a movie (or show) rolls out, and Hot Toys announces select figures from that movie, urging customers to make a preorder. The release of this figure was quite unique in the realm of Hot Toys collecting. Thor figures from both The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron were available, but a few weeks before the Christmas of 2017, me, my wife, and my son ventured out to the theater and saw Thor: Ragnarok and after viewing that film, I knew that this Roadworn Thor was the perfect Thor figure for me! With that decided, I had to choose which Hot Toys Thor that I wanted. Loki was my first Hot Toy, and I love the dynamic between the adopted brothers in the movies as well as the comics, so a Hot Toys Thor was an ideal next move in my collecting. I received Thor as a gift from my family for Christmas in 2017. This was the third Hot Toys figure that I ever owned. Thor is amongst my Top-10 favorite characters in all of comics and I love the entire Asgardian pantheon. This new trailer can also be connected to the post-credits of Doctor Strange which had the two heroes speaking about Asgar and its events.

The new international trailer for Thor: Ragnarok gives us a new piece of footage with an appearance by Doctor Strange. So where does Doctor Strange fit in all this? The conversation between the two super heroes make us doubt whether the God of Thunder really won the fight against Bruce Banner. His fellow Avenger is surely not an ally this time, or maybe he is. But before Thor saves his Asgardian civilization, he has to survive the deadly gladiatorial fight against Hulk without his hammer. Until now, we know that Thor is jailed on the other side of universe, sans his Mjolnir, while his realm, the Asgard is on the verge of Ragnarok, the doom at the hands of the powerful villain Hela, played by veteran Cate Blanchett. Thor: Ragranok is the third film in the Thor franchise.
